A part of our personality is revealed through the clothes we wear. The garments should not define our figure, but our figure, should define the garments. As a seamstress for 30+ years, I have the patience to exercise care in details, an appreciative eye for balance, and the ambition to create flattering and functional garments perfect for you.
I also choose to support a greener, more self-sufficient cause by offering alterations instead of discarding fixable clothing, sourcing raw materials locally when possible, providing sewing lessons to my community, re-purposing old garments and fabric.
The importance of quality craftsmanship and attitude are the foundation for achieving a beautiful and distinctive silhouette. Function and fashion. There is no alteration too small to stitch and no vision too extravagant to create!

I bought this jacket 12 years ago and it finally started falling apart. She took out the old lining and sewed in a new one that is even better than the original! It's so good the jacket is reversible! It is perfect, the price was right and she was super fast about it.

That girl is a miracle worker!! Megin sewed a layer to my wedding dress; looked just like I bought it that way!

I’ve had Megin help with several small projects recently—sewing patches, hemming jeans, and a few repairs for my family. Her work has been well done, reasonably priced, and easy to coordinate. I’m glad to have someone local with her skill set here in Sturgeon Bay.

Megin has done work for me and is communicative, creative and quick! I recently took her two pieces that had been sitting for repair/renovation at least a couple of years. One was a favorite leather bomber jacket to have the sleeve lining replaced, the other a brand-new London Fog trenchcoat that I found at Skand that was way too long for me but otherwise fit perfectly. She did a terrific job on both; suggesting a perfectly patterned lining that tied into the overall unique-ness of the jacket, and giving me back a classic olive trenchcoat that is now wearable and workable. I will definitely be back with more! BTW, she also creates beautiful clothing and other clever little pieces.
